Capsanthin

Capsanthin is a natural red-orange carotenoid colour extracted from paprika. Gulf Multi Trading supplies it as part of our colors range, with material held in the UAE and backed by full batch documentation.

It is supplied as deep red oily liquid or dispersible powder, in food grade, 40,000–100,000 colour value. The CAS number is 465-42-9.

Applications of Capsanthin

Common uses in production:

• Red-orange colour in processed meat, sausage and marinades
• Snack seasoning, cheese analogue and sauce colouring
• Pigmentation in poultry and aquaculture feed
• Natural colour in soups, dressings and ready meals

Packing, storage and handling

Standard packing is 20 kg or 25 kg drum (liquid) · 20 kg carton (powder). Store in cool, dark storage in sealed containers. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored as specified.
