Dioctyl Phthalate

Dioctyl Phthalate is the benchmark general-purpose plasticiser for flexible PVC. Gulf Multi Trading supplies it as part of our plasticizers & phthalates range, with material held in the UAE and backed by full batch documentation.

It is supplied as clear colourless to pale yellow oily liquid with a faint odour, in technical grade, 99.5% min, with an assay of 99.5% min. The CAS number is 117-81-7 and the molecular formula is C24H38O4.

Applications of Dioctyl Phthalate

Typical applications include:

• Flexible PVC cable sheathing and insulation compound
• Vinyl flooring, wall covering and leathercloth
• PVC hose, profile and film manufacture
• Plastisol coatings, sealants and dip moulding

Packing, storage and handling

Standard packing is 200 kg MS drum · 1000 L IBC · ISO tank. Store in cool, dry, ventilated store. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored as specified.
